Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties
This course covers fundamental evolutionary and ecological concepts with particular reference to biodiversity and human evolution. We examine the dynamics of species diversity and explore the evolution and impact of humans, as well as elements of Ecology, including topics in Behavioural, Population, Community, Ecosystems and Global Ecology, as well as Biodiversity and Conservation Biology. A major component of the course is a problem-based learning project completed by students as part of their tutorials. Emphasis is placed on developing skills facilitating the interpretation of scientific observations.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Biology and experience teaching ecology at the university level, including scientific literacy.

*Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
