WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Avion Delivery team is undertaking multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives as part of RBC’s ongoing plan to Enhance the Avion platform and improve member acquisition and engagement. In this role you will be responsible for leading a multi disciplined agile squad in delivering upon the ambitious product roadmap.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Supporting the team in achieving the sprint goals and removing any impediments that hinder progress.
  • Promote collaboration among cross-functional team members, including developers, business analysts, UX designers, and architects.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and meets the definition of ready.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on team performance and delivery timelines.
  • Apply change and risk management principles to ensure the team can adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Proactively identify risks and dependencies, working with the team and stakeholders to mitigate them effectively.
  • Facilitate big room planning sessions and other collaborative events to align multiple teams on shared goals.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and Kanban practices.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members and stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certifications are preferre
