Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Manufacturing Millwright to join our client’s team in Richmond, BC. In this role you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining machinery and equipment in a manufacturing facility. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues to ensure optimal production efficiency. The Millwright will work closely with other maintenance and production staff to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.
Pay Rate: $38.00-42.00/ hour, with an additional $1.50/hour afternoon shift premium
Location: Richmond, BC
Shift: Monday-Friday | 2:00pm-10:30pm

Responsibilities:
Assist in the preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Perform and help grow our Preventative maintenance program
Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics including PLC’s
Read and interpret drawings, machine parts from a sketch, sample or plans.
Install, move and modify equipment as required.
Follow all maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory codes while always maintaining a safe work environment.
Continue to upgrade skills on an ongoing basis.
Document all works carried out through our CMMS system.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Red Seal ticketed Millwright, Tool and Die maker, Machine Tool Builder, or Industrial Mechanic Benefit.
5 years post qualification experience is required.
If less than 5 years’ experience, practical interview will include more tasks.
In-depth familiarity with mechanics, machine shop practices (lathe & milling machines), with basic welding skills (ARC, TIG, MIG) and electrical background are required.
Strong attention to detail and a strong technical aptitude.
Capable of working in a high-pressure environment, with the ability to multi-task.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity of PLCs including Siemens S5 & S7, Allen Bradley SLC 500, Micro Logix, etc.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Experience with Lean manufacturing and 5S standards is an asset.
Proven ability to use a Microsoft Office and CMMS software
