The Opportunity: Manager, COR.Transform Development
Oversees a team of Development, Quality Assurance, and Architecture professionals who build, configure, deploy and support our Digital Mailroom and Document Management solution. Uses a combination of vendor and inhouse products hosted across both the cloud and on-premise infrastructure to ensure seamless delivery of our Lending, Mailroom and Return Mail services to our clients. Recommends products, solutions, and processes to meet customer and business needs and ensure delivery of consistent, common, accurate and flexible application development products in a timely manner. Establishes and maintains effective relationships, both internally and externally, including vendors and partners to ensure the continuation and advancement of Symcor business plans.
This role is hybrid in nature.
About The Role
• Oversee the building and testing of high-performance technical solutions related to our content and business process automation service in alignment with business strategies and industry best practice to meet client and business demands and goals.
• Evaluate potential solutions (e.g., proof of concept, pre-sales, vendor selection), making decisions and recommendations on strategic and tactical business needs, including in-house development, vendor products or non-technology processes as appropriate to the specific need.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and strategic partners, leveraging their capabilities as required and working with them to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with standards, best practices, and security and compliance requirements.
• Provide direction and guidance to ensure products and services are delivered based on agreed upon requirements including budget, timelines, and functionality.
• Assist management in the preparation of the five-year business plan. Prepare and manage plan and budget for assigned area, adjusting as required to ensure targets are met. Complete resource planning to provide the appropriate support, project delivery and infrastructure maintenance required to meet business needs and requirements.
• Lead the monitoring, coaching, development, and assignment of employees to provide the optimal resources required to attain the team’s objectives and deliver its mandate.
• Review code, assist with defect resolution and support the team during complex or critical production support issues.
What You Need To Succeed
Education:
• Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
Experience:
• Experience with Document and Data Capture solutions such as Kofax Total Agility or similar.
• 6-8 years of related technical experience in large and complex information processing environments.
• Leadership experience leading a small to medium sized team.
Skills:
• Leadership skills to motivate team
• Demonstrated project management skills to plan and deliver on established strategic and tactical goals
• Technical, hands-on knowledge building complex data capture and processing solutions
