A career as a senior Java back-end developer in the Financial Markets – Regulatory team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in regulatory application development. This job allows you to make a positive impact on our organization through your expertise in backend Java development and your ability to build scalable and reliable solutions.

Your role

  • Contribute to the evolution of the technological ecosystem related to regulatory requirements and data reporting for derivative products (e.g., HK Rewrite, MIFID).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain high-performance backend solutions using Java.
  • Support and enhance a growing infrastructure while ensuring its stability and scalability.
  • Understand the technological ecosystem and its interdependencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet complex regulatory needs.
  • Continuously develop new technical skills to adapt to changing business needs.

Your team

The Financial Markets – Regulatory Vice-Presidency includes more than 7 specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of technology, and continuously improve processes.

Within the Financial Markets – Regulatory sector, you’ll be part of a team of 7 colleagues. Our team stands out for its energy, creativity, and resourcefulness. We aim to offer you maximum flexibility to support your quality of life, including a hybrid work environment and adaptable schedules.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least four years of experience, OR university certificate or college diploma with seven years of relevant experience. 
  • Proven experience in software development using Java. 
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and related Spring projects. 
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI/CD), and automated deployment. 
  • Familiarity with JavaScript (an asset).
