.We have a great opportunity in our Accounting Services department. We are seeking to hire a Financial Systems Analyst.
What You Will Do
As the Financial Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the maintenance and control of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) master data, including setting up all WBS elements and related project structure, user fields, and settlement objects in SAP. You will also provide support to the Senior Business Analyst and performs additional General Ledger (GL) systems duties, including participation in SAP-related testing, providing guidance to users on the SAP JE Uploader and other SAP-related inquiries, and performing ad-hoc period-end and year-end tasks.
You will also analyze error transactions from MyTTC|Time idocs and determine source & proper correction methods to ensure timely corrections and clearing. You will keep up to date records on idoc errors and document when they are corrected by originators. You will provide support to users in pulling information from Power BI reports for labour distribution and resource allocation.
You will perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of new and changed operational and financial system processes to ensure accurate and timely period-end and year-end reporting

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- Completion of post-secondary education, including courses in accounting and/or IT systems, combined with related experience.
- Must have or quickly develop thorough knowledge of SAP General Ledger Module (FICO) and SAP Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft software (e.g. Word, Access, Outlook); strong proficiency with Excel Uploader
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to financial record-keeping, journal voucher preparation, account analysis and reconciliation
- Possession of a Canadian professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) is an asset
- Demonstrated work experience with SAP is preferred
- Strong mathematical skills, and excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to perform work accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize the significant amount of daily workflow and handle multiple tight deadlines
- Flexible and comfortable working in an environment of change and process improvements
- Ability to exercise judgement to identify unusual transactions, balances or circumstances for investigation and follow-up
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to handle inquiries efficiently and effectively and resolve issues with other departments or external parties with tact and tenacity
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees
