As our Event Specialist, leading and planning a wide variety of events, you will be an integral part of a collaborative Marketing team focused on showcasing our many services and programs to our clients and customers. This position is Temporary Full time for up to 4 months.
This is a hybrid position enabling you to combine working from home and working from our Guelph office. Occasional travel to events may be required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and organizing events at Homewood Health as well as our presence at other events including logistics, staffing, sponsorships, speaking engagements and event collateral
- Act as primary point of contact for event organizers
- Organize event collateral and printed material, manage inventory and arrange shipping of collateral, banners and marketing material to events
- Produce event reports, monthly summaries and regular budget updates
- Work collaboratively with clinical, sales and account management teams to create and execute event specific marketing plans
- Identify areas for improvement and increased engagement
- Support event attendees with scheduling, briefing and collateral
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications
- 3 or more years’ experience in a marketing role, with preference for healthcare or related industry
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
- Experience leading and implementing project plans involving diverse teams
- Able to work cross functionally and recommend improvements to boost performance
- Strong problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Bilingual (English and French) would be an asset
