McMaster University, in conjunction with Hamilton Health Sciences, are seeking two (2) full-time academic physicians to join the division of pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology & Nutrition, providing care at McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH).

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition currently consists of 6 full-time faculty members (including clinician educators and a clinician scientist). It is an academic and research-intensive group. Position Requirements:
This position will incorporate an academic appointment. Salary will align with the Dept of Pediatric Practice Plans and rank will be commensurate with the experience of the applicant.
The successful candidate would be encouraged to develop an investigative agenda as well as participate in educational activities within the undergraduate medical program and the Royal College accredited Pediatric and Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition post-graduate training programs. The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:
- Completion of additional fellowships training and/or graduate level training; clinical and research expertise in the field is an asset.
- Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Pediatric Gastroenterology and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.
- One candidate with interest and experience in hepatology.
- One candidate will be required to have expertise in medical education to lead the Royal College accredited pediatric gastroenterology residency training program (please indicate in your letter of intent).
- Skills in endoscopy training and therapeutics will be considered an asset for either position
