Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled Hydrocarbon Inventory Analyst to manage and analyze our client’s hydrocarbon inventory based out of Calgary, AB. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing data to optimize inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires a keen analytical eye, a solid understanding of the oil and gas industry, and proficiency with inventory management software.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate the monthly reconciliation process of SAP inventories to shipper statements by commodity pool, location, trade strategy and legal entity to ensure timely identification and remediation of unresolved issues
Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to speed up manual processes and support future state of ST&O Transformation, including technology solutions.
Where appropriate, enable technologies to support proactive inventory management, by supporting the business implementation of HIM
Assist in the creation, documentation and sustainment of a Book to Physical process which allows the Front- and Back-office reconciliation of SAP S4 inventory records to those of shipper balances, terminal inventory reports and other relevant third-party statements
Trouble-shoot issues to reduce the time involved with complex inventory reconciliations
Ensure monthly hand off process is followed and communicate the completion of the reconciliation process to back office to ensure accounting month end deadlines are adhered to.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
5+ years experience in crude and/or refined products logistics, settlements, or accounting role.
Bachelor’s degree (major in Business or Economics or Accounting)
Understanding of end-to-end transaction lifecycle, including trade capture, contracts, scheduling, risk management, invoicing and settlements flow of trade
Basic knowledge of how deal entry and scheduling processes impact inventory management, settlements, and tax
Strong Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills, with high attention to detail
Working knowledge of SAP (particularly Materials Management module)
Experience working in a trading, finance, or operations environment
