Coke Canada is looking for 1 co-op student to join us as Supply Chain Co-ops in the Quality Assurance Department, located in our Weston facility, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Things to know before you apply!
- To be eligible for consideration you must be enrolled in a current co-op program with your school.
- This is an 8-month coo-op contract.
- Our facility is located at 24 Fenmar Drive, Weston, Ontario.
- We do a 40hr work week, and work hours are generally Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. However, the facility runs 24-7 and some flexibility will be required occasionally to support project work on off shifts.
- The selected student will need to be working on site; safety measures are applied daily in our facilities – that’ll be some of the things that you’ll learn!
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly GMP Audits to support the Food Safety Program mandate
- Participate in Internal Audits and change management exercises to ensure audit ready status at the facility.
- Support data extraction to support the TPM program and share summarized analyses with the management team.
- Update the Quality Management Pillar boards to stay current with the Plant’s performance.
- Become familiar with internal program and generate monthly reports on process capability to determine corrective action and follow up.
- Analyze data to support key metrics for Safety, Quality, Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, Operational Excellence and Finance.
- Participate in various projects related to the Bottling industry; ad hoc day-to-day responsibilities and project work to develop leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor Program in Engineering program (3rd or 4th year preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment with changing and competing priorities.
- Strong relationship builder who can comfortably and effectively work in multi-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, with an aptitude for critical-thinking and ability to problem-solve.
- You have a positive attitude and a demonstrated passion for growth and continuous learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with intermediate to advance Excel skills.
