Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation using Selenium with Java/Python, along with strong expertise in API testing. This role involves designing and implementing robust automation frameworks, leading QA initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Design and develop Automation frameworks from scratch and enhance as required.
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive test strategies for various products.
- Oversee the development and execution of automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Python and Robot Framework.
- Provide expertise in C#, Java, Python, JavaScript or any other programming languages to enhance test automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks for Sterling OMS and other e-commerce platforms.
- Mentor and guide junior testers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of test plans test cases and test results.
What you bring to the role:
- Overall 10+ years of experience working in an agile environment as QA Architect with focus on framework development from scratch, tools analysis and implementation.
- 5+ years of Test Architect experience.
- 4+ Years of experience working on actively programming in any Object-Oriented programming language.
- Possess strong technical skills in C# SQL Appium TOSCA TestNG JavaScript Robot Framework, Sterling OMS, Rest Assured, Cucumber, Java, Python and Selenium.
- Expertise in mobile and retail applications' architecture.
- 2+ Years working on any Cloud stack such as AWS or Azure. Any certifications in this regard would be highly valued.
- Familiarity with wide variety of Testing Frameworks across Web, API, Event Driven, Microservices and Mobile applications is desirable.
- Have a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing processes.
- Have experience mentoring and guiding junior testers.
- Familiarity with IT SDLC processes, Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
- Possess strong communication and collaboration skills.

Salary Range:
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 105,000 – 120,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial well-being.
