This role reports to the Manager, Partner Management supporting the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP), one of Scotiabank’s top priorities. This program has enterprise-wide impact and requires effective communications, financial management, strategic planning, and project management and execution.
The Senior Analyst, Vendor Management plays a critical role in supporting the Operations that involve TPRM activities for compliance, maintaining trackers and support on-offboarding contractors and overall help the Program to meet the business objectives. The Analyst is responsible for assisting Manager to collectively ensure the Vendor contracts are processed in timely manner. Manager acts as a liaison to coordinate schedules and tasks for internal teams and gathers insights, approvals, and other stakeholder contributions and processes accordingly. This role ensures business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
In this role you will:
- Manage 3rd Party Contracts for CAP Program
- Ensure proper process is followed when engaging vendors help resolve supplier issues ( Eg. Tech, Process etc..)
- Drives cross-team collaboration (Vendor, Procurement, Governance, TPRM, PM, Delivery Lead and Finance)
- Diligently process and track SOW/MSA/Renewals/Amendments
- Work with Business Line/Technology team/Vendors to move contracts forward.
- Timely On-boarding and Off-boarding of Contractors and contingent workers.
- Stay up-to-date with Procurement guidelines, TPRM processes and follow OSFI guidelines.
- Work with Governance team to ensure all compliance and audit issues are addressed.
- Documents and follows up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
- Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
- Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- 2+ years of work experience in Operations and Business Communication
- Work in a fast paced environment recognizing Priority.
- Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to present results and make recommendations to diverse stakeholders; Ability to adapt communication content and styles to suit the audience.
- Drive to succeed with bias towards action and ability to navigate large organizations and build collaborative relationships; Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong curiosity to learn with adaptive and creative mindset
