- Supervise staff to ensure working to daily shipping/receiving/returns/restocking/putaway targets.
- Supervise timely release of orders to ensure they are picked in order and suggest improvements.
- Supervise receiving to ensure purchase orders are received in order. Deal with PO discrepancies and suggest improvements.
- Provide job training where needed including new employees.
- Arrange and maintain training of all warehouse staff including equipment, health and safety. Ensure all H & S procedures are followed by the staff.
- Provide performance feedback to staff and management.
- Deal with staff performance issues. Assist in hiring new employees.
- Do annual performance reviews of direct reports.
- Keep warehouse manager informed of operational needs.
- Key holder for lock-up and alarm response.
- Review shipping/receiving returns/restocking/putaway errors with staff to reduce the amount occurring.
- Analyze returns and suggest improvements to reduce the amount.
- Analyze damage claims and suggest improvements to reduce the amount.
- Analyze inventory adjustments and suggest improvements in procedures to reduce.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
- 3-5 years experience as a warehouse supervisor
- Knowledge of operation and warehouse management of distribution processes.
- Knowledge of Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.), of AS-400, of a Warehouse Management System and of Radio Frequency.
- Forklift and Reach Truck experience preferred
- Experience with AS400 system (an asset)
