What is the Opportunity?
As the Insurance Regional Operating Officer you will directly support the Regional Vice President (Field Sales) in achievement of regional recruitment plan and successful onboarding, maximizing performance across all key business performance measures (market contribution, client loyalty, volume growth and employee engagement) and responsible for developing and executing the priorities and initiatives to ensure growth profitability, superior client experience and sustainable value creation for RBC shareholders. You will be a key liaison with head office partners (i.e., Underwriting, Compensation, Marketing) to ensure operational alignment. Act as a strategic advisor to the RVP and Market Leaders helping to build and execute effective routines. Champion partnering across roles, channels, operations, and risk partners to bring the best of RBCI to
clients and acts as Regional Ambassador for key partners.
What will you do?
Develop & execute the regional recruitment annual plan
Onboard new Advisors, increase productivity and first year retention
Contribute to various national initiatives
Establish routines with Regional Directors for recruitment and onboarding activities.
Coach and develop Regional Directors capabilities regarding recruitment and onboarding
Achieve the Sales Plan for designated market as well as advisor achievement of Sales Effectiveness Ratio
Ensure capacity and sales plan expectations are delivered with the support of Business Development Manager for designated markets strategies and initiatives
Maintain a strong understanding of talent in the market as well as competitive intelligence and build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified commissioned-sales candidates
Partner closely with our Talent Acquisition team to recruit by sharing profiles of potential qualified candidates from proactive and active sources
What do you need to succeed?
Progressive industry and general business experience (7+ years) with a focus on multi-line insurance in retail and group sales or banking sector
Post graduate degree or equivalent
Prior experience (3+ years) in leading a diverse team with bottom line accountability
Experience in advancing advisor effectiveness in sales and service practices (e.g. contact management, client discovery, new acquisition, etc.)
Proven experience in networking, assessing and hiring qualified talent in the market, engaging potential candidates to begin the selection process
Strong business acumen and execution skills with the ability to translate strategies and business plans into action and outcomes
Exceptional prioritization and time management skills with ability to optimize productivity through synergistic collaboration
Aptitude for working under tight deadlines, high volumes and quick decision making skills
Analytical thinker and problem solver with change management leadership.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $90,000- $129,999 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s robust discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
