What you’ll do
We seek a highly skilled and experienced learning professional to join the Store Learning and Leadership team. As a Lead Learning Solutions Consultant, you will work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups to understand project objectives, assess training needs, and determine how a project will result in change for Stores. As a primary point of contact for projects, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing client relationships with project teams and Dealer Working Groups, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the engagement process.
You will play a crucial role in leading the development of a learning strategy that outlines tactics and deliverables to support the successful implementation of the change across our Canadian Tire Retail Store Network. The Lead Learning Solutions Consultant will own the design and development of project deliverables from project inception to implementation and sustainment, and work with internal resources to deliver high-quality deliverables. The role reports directly to the Manager, Store Learning.
In this role, you’ll:
Lead multiple learning solutions from project initiation through to implementation.
Partner closely with project owners, the broader Store Sales and Operations team, and the Store Learning and Leadership team to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives in Canadian Tire and Party City Stores.
Act as an intake point for learning support requests by attending intake meetings with relevant stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of business and project needs.
Conduct needs analysis to identify learning gaps, determine training needs, and recommend appropriate delivery methods by developing a learning strategy.
Present learning strategy and gain stakeholder alignment on deliverables that balance the needs of the end-users and project objectives.
Develop content for all audiences in Canadian Tire Stores using a wide variety of mediums including eLearning, performance support tools, reference guides, job aids, articles, and videos.
Provide direction and support to Learning Consultants and Multimedia Designers as needed throughout the design and development process.
Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the project lifecycle to consult on adult learning best practices and recommend approaches that can help facilitate the adoption of technologies and processes in Stores.
Remain current with learning industry tools, best practices, and trends and ensure that knowledge is shared with the team.
Provide project and program leadership to a team of Learning Consultants and Multimedia Designers.
Collaborate with Retail Integration Team to align communication and training efforts to support launch and implementation. Participate in brainstorming sessions with Retail Integration and project stakeholders to align on key accountabilities, deliverables, and milestones.
Develop and monitor project plans to ensure that project execution is completed on time and within budget.
Identify and communicate project risks and proactively plan for solutions.
Use effective communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with the Multimedia team, cross-functional teams, and clients, serving as a trusted advisor for learning consulting needs.
Interpret and report on lesson completions and identify trends in learning adoption in Stores.
What you bring
University degree with a focus in human resources, education, learning, and/or business
4-6 years of experience in the design and development of learning projects with a proven record of success as a curriculum designer or learning consultant
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
Experience leading complex projects with multiple deliverables and a proven track record of delivering on tight timelines
Ability to deal with ambiguity and use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ask effective questions, and consult on learning best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels
Client-focused with an ability to build and sustain relationships and influence stakeholders across the organization
Comfortable working on a fast-paced, cross-functional team
Proficient in Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and familiarity with eLearning development tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise)
Experience with project management tools or software is considered an asset
