DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, April 12\, 2023\, from 12 PM to 1 PM EDT – this event is exclusive for employees of our Proud Partners and Community Partners.\nLive Captioning will be provided by 3 Play Media Canada. \nWhen 2SLGBTQIA+ communities replicate the power dynamics that we try to eradicate in our world and impose them on our queer\, disabled\, racialized bodies and minds\, how do we move from toxic ableism to disability justice? This webinar will explore anti-oppression and ableism\, from disability rights to disability justice as a way to fully support disabled colleagues and employees by identifying power dynamics and taking action today while mirroring what has happened in queer and trans communities in the past. \n“We resist ableism dividing us. I resist my disability being pitted against your disability. Born\, raised and still living in Tiohtià:ke (colonially known as Montréal)\, this Black queer woman supports minoritized communities in their liberation. She is currently working as a Manager\, Local development at the City of Montréal’s Service of Social Diversity and Inclusion.
