(French) National Member Webinar: UNIE-LGBTQ Project Results

During the UNIE-LGBTQ Project Results Webinar, we will have the pleasure of welcoming Martin Blais, Research Chair on Sexual Diversity and Gender Plurality at the Université du Québec à Montréal, who will present the results of the Understanding Inclusion and Exclusion of LGBTQ People (UNIE-LGBTQ) project.

The project’s aim is to document experiences of inclusion and discrimination in the workplace. In the context of this project, a Quebec-wide survey was conducted, which included 3744 LGBTQ+ workers. The main results regarding barriers they have encountered in their careers and their experiences in the workplace will be presented.

Presentation:

Martin Blais (he/him), Full Professor, Department of Sexology, Université du Québec à Montréal

Martin Blais is a full professor in the Department of Sexology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. He is the Research Chair on Sexual Diversity and Gender Plurality, funded by the Ministère de la Justice du Québec. His research focuses on the social inclusion and exclusion of LGBTQ2+ people, the stigma and interpersonal trauma to which they are exposed, and their repercussions on well-being, health and interpersonal relationships.
