Your job:
- Conduct financial analysis in order to propose adequate financing structures
- Participate to clients pitches in order to present financing terms and conditions as well as syndication strategies
- Proceed with the syndication of the deals and manage banking syndicates under the commercial portfolio
- Maintain and develop a network with active players and partners in the mid market space

Operating under NBC’s National Bank Financial Markets division, the Corporate and Investment Banking (“CIB”) group comprises over 200 professionals located in offices in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and New York.
As part of CIB, the Loan Structuring & Syndication (“LSS”) group is a team of 20 professionals focused on the origination, structuring, pricing, and distribution process for all syndicated loans at NBC. LSS team members interact with wide variety of external and internal stakeholders, including customers, lending and investment banking coverage teams, syndicate banks, portfolio management, credit adjudicators, agency and operational groups.
Basic requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. B.Comm., B.B.A.) and 6 years experience in corporate or commercial lending. Professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA) or graduate degrees (e.g. MBA) are assets.
- Strong analytical skills, understanding of complex corporate and financial transactions, as well as related risks
- Well-developed relationship building skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong potential for a future role as "business developer " on a multi-product banking platform
- Proven ability to use judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given constraints
- Established transaction execution and/or project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Comfort in working in a fast-paced environment where competing demands need to be managed
- Well-developed computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
