POSITION OVERVIEW:
The overall purpose of this position is to manage all vehicle preparation and, oil changes, regular cleaning and other operations pertaining to the Company Vehicles as required by the Facilities & Administration Department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Receiving and inspection of vehicles delivered daily – Looking up future driver, tagging and putting vehicle in queue for delivery.
• Moving vehicles to compound or north lot on a daily basis as instructed.
• Oversee the preparation of all cars for “Pre-Delivery Inspection” and “Pre-Delivery Service”- i.e. Unwrapping vehicles, detailing, performing pre-delivery inspection per checklist. Performing an average of 15 PDIs per week.
• Schedule employee and affiliate vehicle switches on a daily basis; coordinate with employees and affiliates as required. (Minimum of 3 vehicles per day).
• Schedule and perform regular oil and filter changes for all Company Vehicles.
• Weekly vehicle registrations at the MTO, 2-3 trips weekly
• Prepare/ exchange/ install tires on vehicles as required, handle tires to be sent to storage or recalled
• Wash, prepare, fuel and maintain Company Vehicles as required and clean display vehicles regularly as requested.
• Maintain a safe working environment in the automotive shop, cleaning up daily and adhering to all safety standards.
• Assist with inspecting vehicles upon delivery and return and check for any due oil changes upon vehicle return, perform oil and filter changes as required and move returned vehicles to the designated lot.
• Assist with Ride & Drive and other vehicle-related activities and programs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar positions.
• Completion of a secondary school diploma and college... or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Automotive Technical skills.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and preparation.
• Driver License required (able to drive standard transmission vehicles).
