UX Communications & Marketing Coordinator (12 month contract)
The opportunity
The UX Communications & Marketing Coordinator creates engaging content and helps design exceptional omnichannel member experiences. Increasing self-service efficacy and reducing assisted-service reach will be the focus of our digital first strategy. The Coordinator plays a key support role on the team. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with an analytical slant and a team player who values innovation, has a solutions-oriented approach and a great sense of humour.
Who you'll work with
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Member Services UX Communications & Marketing, the UX Communications & Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with colleagues within Communications & Marketing and the broader ExDI team, and pitch-in with additional projects, as needed.
What you'll do
Create content in the member voice that simplifies technical and complex information, supports our omnichannel strategy and improves the user experience
Write and edit content with a marketing approach for member channels, including emails, secure and public websites, videos, presentations, etc.
Monitor our English Facebook pages daily, draft and post content to boost engagement and build a community of peer-to-peer learning, maintain an editorial calendar and coordinate postings with partners in corporate Marketing & Communications
Ensure brand and editorial style guidelines are applied to all content
Work with partners across the organization to help optimize the omnichannel experience
Work with videographers and designers to support the creation of high-impact content materials and UX design opportunities
Help develop and implement communications plans and omnichannel strategy
Support the creation and management of Salesforce email templates, Smartletters, Wordman letters
Participate in cross-functional project teams and bring forward new insights
Support metrics reporting for Communications & Marketing team, including actively monitoring campaigns and general website traffic
Participate in efforts to make the member channels as efficient and effective as possible.
Support UX research efforts and recommendations
Assist with the rollout of new campaigns, experiments, initiatives, etc.
Support MS town halls and other in-person and online events
What you'll need
Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related subject area or other relevant training
2-3 years of communications and marketing experience
Strong writing and editing skills with proven track record to capture readers’ attention and hold it
Client-focused, motivated, proactive, forward-thinking, detail-oriented, organized and supportive
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and work independently, and as a part of a team in an evolving environment
Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines and projects efficiently
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Teams and WebEx
Good solid understanding of Teachers’ Pension Act, policies and procedures, and other relevant legislation an asset
Experience with the Agile model and UX preferred
Knowledge of AEM, Salesforce and HTML an asset
