As Intact’s first Health Services Manager, Accident Benefits, you will provide leadership to a team of Psychologists, Kinesiologists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, focusing on developing the team dynamics and contributing to the engagement of this newly created team. Reporting to the Claims Manager, your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
New process development
Analyze reports and make recommendations to improve efficiencies.
Work with other units of the strategy team to plan and execute on new strategic initiatives as required
Establish and maintain service levels by organizing and/or monitoring work flow and setting priorities to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Establish goals and monitor the development of the team to ensure achievement of department Business Plan.
Lead the design and implementation of operational processes and performance standards that will allow us to utilize the team as a competitive advantage.
University degree or College Diploma is required
Experience or exposure to the insurance industry is an asset.
A Registered Healthcare Professional with 5-7 years is an asset.
Strong business operations knowledge
Experienced in coaching and developing staff
Proven leadership skills
Excellent project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skill
Strong capability to adapt to a very high paced environment
Approximately 15-20% travel within the Greater Toronto Area for internal meetings with team
