Your Opportunity

In this position as a Transportation Drafting Technician/Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and technologists on multiple transportation projects for a range of public and private sector clients. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and design of roadways, grading, and public utilities in accordance with the applicable federal, provincial, and municipal standards and best practices
  • Development and production of engineering drawings for large-scale Transportation projects (plan/profile, cross-section, details, etc.)
  • Quality control checking of designs and drawing packages prior to submission
  • Work collaboratively with senior Technologists, Engineers, and multi-disciplinary design teams
  • Preparation of design calculations, design briefs, presentations, and reports
  • Calculation of quantities and preparation of cost estimates
  • Comply with Stantec Quality Management, Safety, and Environmental policies

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Education and Experience

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1 year of expereince which could include internships. Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
