The incumbent will be trained and rotate through several desks within the team as a secondary floater to ensure coverage and cross training occurs including;
Daily support to the Mortgage trading business, approve assigned service providers’ files uploaded from shared drive into the Mortgage Hub (mHUB) system
As part of NHA program, coordinate the CMHC form handling and loan securitization process to ensure securitization process is completed in a timely manner
Promptly resolve issues related to Mortgage daily settlements.
The incumbent is also responsible to review daily/monthly cash, position in production and reconciliations investigation results performed by CMRG and ensure all discrepancies for positions and cash in various processing systems (e.g. Infinity/Murex, RIMMS, Anvil, OPICS, SLIM and General Ledger systems) are investigated with proper resolution, to prepare respective SLIM/eGL accounting entries for all FIDO and CT/MM Infinity/Murex book-runners when necessary, to monitor the daily suspense account posted to the responsible transits and to complete GL accounts attestation.
Ensure desk procedures, controls and best practices are current and well documented. As required, participate in user acceptance testing for new products and system improvements.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (BBA / BComm / BMath / BSc) with 2 years experiences in financial industry
Knowledge of derivatives, repo and the mortgage securitization process
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail; ability to learn quickly and problem solve.
Work effectively and reliably under pressure with minimal supervision; team player.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
Solid PC (Microsoft Excel, Word) and analytical skills
Experience/working knowledge of Mortgages/MBS & derivatives products and processing procedures
Good working knowledge of various Systems: MHUB, Slim, People Soft, Infinity/Murex, OBI, IRIS etc.
