What is the opportunity?
Coordinates production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of computer generated data. Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.
What will you do?
Work within the Digital Workplace Solutions production team to ensure all applications comply with RBC's risk IT policy and procedures.
Work closely with Corporate Systems Ops & IT risk, application and infrastructure teams to identify and/or mitigate identified risks like NPIDs, P2 issues, DAT, DAP, local and privileged IDs, TLS, TSS vulnerabilities etc.
Help mitigate reported compliance issues with Threat Centric Vulnerability Model (TCVM), TCCM Compliance and other security and vulnerability issues reported for all the applications.
Proactively enforce compliance of all the applications as per RBC's risk IT policy and procedures
Work to improve system resilience, including both failover and disaster recovery capabilities.
Ensure apps are up-to-date with RBC's tech currency roadmap and work with necessary stakeholders to meet tech currency goals.
Continuously work with application and infrastructure teams to align to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy for all the applications – monitoring, logging, alerting, event etc.
Work with technical team to improve system resilience, including both failover and disaster recovery capabilities.
Must have:
Good understanding and 2+ years’ experience of common technologies and platforms used in the industry – Windows, Linux, SQL server, Oracle etc.
Good understanding and 2+ years’ experience of working IT Information Security Risk & Compliance. e.g., taking ownership of a reported risk issue, work with application team, vendors and organization's Risk team to help resolve the issue.
Good understanding of common Web technologies: Apache, Apache Tomcat, IIS, NGINX, Kerberos
Basic understanding of cloud technologies and concepts: Azure, OpenShift etc
Good problem solving, and communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
Good to have hands on or good understanding of security patch compliance, working with infrastructure teams for server patches deployment
Understanding of monitoring and alerting systems
Aptitude to learn new tools and concepts quickly and apply to tasks at hand
Problem solving and execution skills
