Your Role and Responsibilities
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a Technical Sales/Solution Consultant/Sales Engineer role• Strong proficiency and understanding of SQL• Knowledge of databases (DB2, SQLServer, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, etc.)• Experience working with the sales lifecycle and driving customer outcomes.• Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills at all levels of an organization.• Driven and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence in everything they do• Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with peers and clients
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience with IBM Data Management solutions (IBM DB2 Family, Cloudera, Netezza Performance Server, etc.)
• Competitive product experience a plus (Microsoft, Snowflake, AWS and Oracle)
• Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, GCP or IBM Cloud) Skills preferred.
• Kubernetes, OpenShift skills preferred.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Data & AI Brand Technical Specialist is a client facing technical sales role of IBM is accountable to design solution to address client challenge using IBM Data & AI solution portfolio, especially using IBM Hybrid Data Management solution (such as IBM DB2, Oracle, Informix, PostgreSQL, MySQL, OEM DB, NoSQL, OLAP, Data Stage, or other relational database (RDBMS) experience).
As a Brand Technical Specialist, you are the technical experts and advisors to clients, IBM sales teams and IBM Business Partners. As a Brand Technical Specialist, you understand the client’s business requirements, technical requirements, and competitive landscape. You also apply your business insights, build, and maintain client relationships, incorporate software and services into client solutions and ensure client readiness for the implementation of technical solutions. This is an opportunity to shape the future for both IBM and its clients.
Key responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
• Develop strategies for clients and to design and architect solution surrounding IBM Data solution portfolio.• Qualify and Quantify business opportunities and to Deliver solution presentation proposal to address client needs.• Knowledge and hands-on experience to deliver solution demonstrations, workshops, education, Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and other Proof of Experience in the area of either Hybrid Data Management.• Consultatively building credibility and trust at all levels, internally and externally, to close highly complex Cloud technology deals.In This Role You Will
• Actively develop and progress qualified opportunities with the IBM Sales Team • Act as a deep technical expert in sales opportunities and leverage your experience to make presales engagements successful.• Collaborate with other internal IBM teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction.• Maintain an understanding of the client’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes.• Deliver solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proofs of Concept while articulating business value for our data management solutions.• Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions.• Support customers across the sales cycle• Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) and other technical questionnaires.Required Technical and Professional Expertise
