The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent of this position is responsible for the engineering design and integration of customized Security / LAN / WAN / Wi-Fi solutions meeting the needs of large business customers. The resource will work in collaboration with senior solution consultants and the support teams to provide value added reporting and trending to the customer. Analysing these reports, the resource will provide recommendations to the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Design networking solutions based on business needs with customer’s technical team timelines and expectations
- Produce and draft technical reports on request for the client or management.
- Support implementation of solutions during complex/critical changes.
- Produce drawings and specifications for achievement of tasks related to the selected solutions.
- Work with available management platforms to provide technical reporting to customer
- Act as SME for support teams and the customer.
- Writing of technical recommendations in the form of SOWs to provide recommendations to customer.
- Working directly with customer technical leads, Bell technical leads and supporting team members, in driving successful technical solution delivery based upon project
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Minimum of five (3) years experience in the field of telecommunications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering with major in Telecommunications or Computer Sciences or equivalent experience
- Knowledge in LAN / WAN networks, IP VPN (MPLS) service and wireless LAN technology (WLAN).
- Specific Knowledge of Cisco Meraki and SDWAN is an asset
- Experience working in a managed environment with rigorous change management is an asset
- Defining/scoping customer requirements with a focus on Enterprise level solutions
- Ownership of outcomes, ability to learn and adapt quickly, deploy on time and on budget.
- Good writing, presentation and communication skills in either English and/or French
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner as well as autonomous with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision.
- In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
