The Team
Trade Central is a middle office application with many consumers and data points. Our team is the owner of Trade Central and responsible for Extract Transform Load 'ETLs' and sending data to downstream consumers within tight deadlines.
The Role
Perform Business Analysis work efforts and ensure that business strategies, plans and initiatives are carried out or complied with in accordance with current internal regulations, policies and procedures
Some of the Key Accountabilities include:
- Perform data analysis by accessing data from upstream strategic data sources and loading to the platform
- Perform data queries, mapping, gap analysis and data reconciliations between legacy and strategic data source systems and downstream consumers
- Actively participate in planning and executing QA and UAT activities
- Proactively identify, engage with and work alongside stakeholders across Business lines, listen to and understand their needs, work collaboratively to design inputs for proposed technology solutions, ensure quality delivery and assist with trouble shooting / resolution of application defects.
- Create and maintain high quality documentation for Functional Requirements including the production and analysis of data sets, flow diagrams and workflows
- Manage traceability of business requirements to Test Plan / Results
- Assist in project execution through JIRA, providing tracking to technical teams and status and milestone updates to internal and business stakeholder
What You Will Bring to Succeed
- 5+ years technical business analysis experience in the financial markets (investment banking/management)
- Data integration and data migration experience
- Understanding of data management in a front/middle/back-office context
- Strong understanding of data modeling, nested structures, json & avro formats
- Strong data analysis and SQL Skills
- Experience with SPARK, ElasticSearch/Kibana (ELK), Kafka
- Strong to intermediate understanding with some experience in Python and/or Scala
- Proficient in tools such as Postman, Jupyter, Dremio
- Experience with SDLC, Agile development methodologies and SDLC development practices and JIRA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to transform business requirements into precise functional/technical specifications
- Strong structured, logical analysis skills; ability to create business analysis from scratch, ability to troubleshoot data quality issues
- Strong team player with ability to plan and prioritise, sometimes concurrent, workloads, work as part of a team and use own initiative to achieve goals while remaining resilient in the face of pressure
- Strong academic record ideally with a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
