Team Lead - Site Reliability Engineer, 1 Presidents Choice Circle, Brampton, Ontario, L6Y 5S5 Location, ON
The Site Reliability Engineer will run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health. You will build tools and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications; improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of cloud-native solutions; and measure and optimize system performance – all with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and champion automated solutions to optimize application/service/platform uptime with minimal human intervention.
- Enhance our infrastructure, tooling, and processes to extend operability as a self-service function for other groups in the engineering value stream.
- Collaborate with diverse agile teams (i.e Architects, Developers, Security, and other Operations engineers) on designing and implementing highly reliable solutions.
- Embrace Site Reliability Engineering principles of proactivity, automation, cross-functional collaboration, and fast+safe failing to continually improve our technology and culture.
What you Bring:
- Passionate about Kubernetes, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Exadata, Infrastructure as Code, cloud provisioning, automation, and developing solutions that help developers move quickly and safely.
- You are an awesome problem solver, and willing to roll up your sleeves to take on any issue thrown your way.
- You are highly responsive, have a customer-first mindset, able to prioritize and track multiple projects in parallel.
- Highly collaborative with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with IaaS/PaaS solution, GKE, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, OCI/GCP/Azure, Linux, Windows, and programming languages (Bash, Python, Go, etc.) Oracle 11/12g, CloudSQL, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Docker, Gitlab CI/CD. Networking etc.
