The Investment Solutions Group focuses on delivering state-of-the-art technological solutions to our stakeholders which includes traders, portfolio managers, and cross functional teams. We have a wide range of opportunities in systems designed for multi-asset trading, quantitative analysis, risk management, enterprise data warehousing, and micro-services for inter-application integrations. You will be exposed to a broad spectrum of investment management projects that involve front, mid, and back office stakeholders and make real, tangible impacts on HOOPP’s performance.

As a software developer, you will work on specific projects to transform finance, and explore a world of opportunity in the Private Markets. At HOOPP you will have opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. What you will do:

• Design and build great user experiences in both external and internal web and mobile applications

• Analyze and break down complex business requirements into manageable, well isolated tasks

• Articulate decisions, rationales, and assumptions with both the business and internal teams

• Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to produce shareable cohesive solutions

What you will bring:

• Pursuing a diploma or degree in computer science, computer engineer bachelor’s degree program or equivalent work experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to take end-to-end ownership

• Experience with version control using Git

• Good understanding of AWS services or other PaaS

• Knowledge of at least, one or more general purpose programming languages/frameworks:

  • C#, Java/Kotlin, C++

  • ES6 JavaScript/Typescript

  • React, Angular, Vue       

• Portfolio of past projects or open source contribution is a bonus
