General Accountability

Provides the expertise and technical direction necessary to define, maintain, enhance or replace the information systems and technology. The position evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of proposed systems or requests for revisions to existing systems. The work involves planning, leading, documenting and participating, as needed, in the requirement definition, design, development, test, implementation and post-implementation activities associated with information technology projects.

Key Job Functions

  • Provide the expertise and technical direction necessary to define, maintain, enhance or replace information systems and technology. Review business requirements, create processes and procedures.
  • Ensures the development and implementation of effective and efficient computer systems by preparing detailed specifications for computer programs.
  • Provide training to related parties in relevant area(s) of expertise.
  • Promotes a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies.

Education and Experience

  • A University Degree, or College Diploma in a related discipline, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent.

Additional Requirements

  • Understand business requirements and explore/advise/build/support SAP technical solutions
  •  Well-versed in Fiori Apps Library & Fiori Administration
  • Extensive experience in UI strategy and hands-on experience in SAP Fiori/UI5
  • Extensive experience in traditional reporting techniques and exposure to rendering tools such as SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office (SAP AO) is preferred
  • Extensive experience in SAP ALE/Idocs, Integration with middleware tools such as Biztalk
  • Extensive experience in SAP ABAP, ABAP OO, ABAP.HR
  • strong SQL skills and expertise in developing Core Data Services (CDS Views) on HANA DB
  • Developing oData services using SAP Gateway Service Builder
  • Ability to Develop/Support Forms (Smartforms, Adobeforms, SAP Scripts) in the areas of Payroll/Benefits/Finance
  • Knowledge of SAP Workflow
  • Working knowledge on CHARM
  • Best Practices in Quality Assurance (SCI, Custom Code Analysis using S/4 Migration Tool)
