Reporting to the General Supervisor, Maintenance, the Supervisor, Maintenance Shop is responsible for all areas of maintenance activity. This position combines the responsibilities for trades, schedule execution, and continuous improvement. This position will operate on a shift schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Oversee quality and safety standards of maintenance repairs on mine equipment, improving availability and reliability for production
• Drive the fulfilment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Costs, MTTR, schedule compliance and labor factor
• Manage daily and weekly work schedules, including using Short Interval Controls (SIC)
• Support the development and execution of the weekly maintenance schedule and implement maintenance standards set out by the maintenance reliability team
• Work closely with condition monitoring personnel to assess and prioritize condition-based work orders
• Collaborate closely with the Planners and Schedulers to provide critical feedback for development and continuous improvement
• Improve employee work performance and efficiency through supervision, completing evaluations, coaching, and mentoring; coordinate and recommend training and development requirements 
• Supervise multiple contractors to ensure work is conducted safely and in accordance with the project scope, schedule, and budget
• Advise the troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action
• Ensure Preventative Maintenance compliance and that all repair history is accurately detailed in the CMMS
• Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies, equipment, and contract services within budgeted guidelines
• Administer the collective agreement, safety, mine, and environmental regulations in a manner consistent with policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Related technical Diploma or Degree, or valid Journeyperson's ticket
• Ability to obtain BC Mine Supervisors Certification
• Experience in execution, planning and scheduling of maintenance work
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset
• Excellent digital literacy in Microsoft Office Suite® particularly in Excel, Outlook and Word; training for our CMMS will be provided
