About the Team / BU:

Do you love learning new cutting edge technologies and being part of an innovative team that is at the forefront of the 5G revolution? We are looking for a talented individual to join our exciting team at Rogers Data Networks Engineering! Our team is responsible for the design, architecture, engineering, and end to end deployment of innovative technology solutions for wireless data services. In particular, you’ll gain hands on experience on 5G core and cloud-native technologies and working closely as part of the 5G engineering teams.

What you will do…

• Software development and scripting to automate functional service validation for wireless solutions.

• Execute and perform on-site field testing for wireless service validation and network design/testing of 5G technology solutions.

• Utilize cloud and virtualization tools to automate workflows, processes, CNF/VNF platform lifecycle management, troubleshooting, integration validation, end to end testing, and KPI reporting.

• Build dashboards for performance and network KPI monitoring. Assist with the monitoring of wireless KPIs.

• Work with Network Engineers to establish workflows and processes in support of 5G technology solutions.

• Provide technical documentation support in support of 5G & LTE wireless solutions.

• Enrolled in an accredited co-op program working towards a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

• Scripting & Software development skills (python, shell, Robot Framework) and sysadmin skills on Linux environments

• Passionate about new 5G technology solutions, cloud native technologies, automation, and software development
