You Have:
- Experience developing and executing government relations and advocacy strategies at the federal level
- Ability to establish and maintain networks with elected and unelected officials, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Skills to provide strategic political and policy advice to senior leadership
- Experience leading cross-enterprise virtual teams and managing external consultants
- Proficiency in representing the organization in meetings and developing engagement opportunities

The Enterprise works in partnership with stakeholders and counterparts nationally across Canada. Due to the nature of the work performed for this position, the incumbent is required to communicate with colleagues in Quebec, Ontario and/or other provinces in English. Proficiency in French is an asset, but not a requirement of this role.
Staff involved in political activities must adhere to all applicable federal and provincial laws, including elections acts, lobbying laws and lobbying codes of conduct. Staff must also adhere to all CMA Policies including but not limited to the CMA Social Media Policy, the CMA Conflict of Interest and Gifts Policy and the CMA Spokesperson Policy. Non-employment personal activities (paid or volunteer) undertaken outside of work hours and not using CMA resources that may cause an adverse effect on performance or create a potential, apparent or actual conflict of interest may only be undertaken with prior written consent of the Organization.
