Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for a Statistical Analyst to join our team!
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Manager - Operations Support, you will be responsible for developing reports, identifying trends, and providing statistical information and analysis to the section. You will also create, maintain, and ensure data integrity of all databases related to the work, and coordinate data collection, data entry and running of database audit reports.
Other responsibilities of your role will include:
- Performing analyses of information relevant to the work assigned to identify and forecast trends, problems, and/or potential risk areas, ensuring the validity and accuracy of data.
- Maintaining integrity of data through regular auditing and monitoring and reviewing, verifying and editing data to ensure accuracy.
- Reviewing statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency and accuracy of raw data.
- Receiving, coding, sorting and inputting data from multiple sources on a timely basis, ensuring validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Data entry and data management of labour costing information and attendance records.
- Maintaining a central file system, updating file list, indexing, assigning file codes to correspondence and ensuring correspondence is filed appropriately.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- Your education background will consist of the completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- Your application will reveal comprehensive knowledge of statistical, analytical and research methodologies.
- It will also reveal your working knowledge of personal computers and software applications related to the job (i.e. IBM Maximo, Crystal Report Writer, Micro Strategy, SuccessFactors, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access etc.) including the ability to manipulate computer databases. It will solidify your ability to operate various office equipment necessary to perform the duties of the role.
- Your proficiency with TTC internal applications including Online Attendance Reporting System (OARS) is a strong asset.
- You are familiar with various forecasting models.
- You also have the ability to identify measures or indicators of database system performance and identify the actions needed to improve or correct performance.
- You are detail-oriented and produce quality work. You also have the ability to meet required deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- You have good organizational skills, effective interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills for dealing with staff at various levels. In addition, you possess good presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Your knowledge of data entry methods and modern office practices and procedures will be evident.
- Your demonstrated experience in entering and managing high quantity of data will be beneficial to you in this role.
- Your excellent mathematical skills, typing, word processing and keyboarding skills will also be beneficial.
