As a Staff Clinician, Specialized Services, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. In this role you will provide direct counselling services to Homewood Health’s Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) clients, including counselling and peer liaison services to lawyers and paralegals under Homewood’s contract with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), ensuring that the clinical service delivery meets the highest level of industry and accreditation standards.
This is a full-time, hybrid role enabling you to combine working from home with working from our downtown Toronto office.

What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver EFAP counselling services, assessments, case management and direct clinical services to our clients in the legal sector; including lawyers and paralegals
- Receive case assignments, establish treatment plans and complete case progress notes
- Develop service plans which outline a specific plan of action for each client under regular consultation
- Act as a peer liaison, along with others supporting the LSO and provide advice, support, training and orientation
- Assist in the training, development and ongoing maintenance of the peer program
- Deliver and co-deliver workshops related to mental health and wellness
- Respond to crisis calls from the Client Services Center and provide afterhours services for crisis calls when needed
- Participate in in-house training as required
What we’re looking for:
- Masters in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or other related discipline
- Concurrent law degree or training is preferred
- Valid registration with the relevant governing body
- 5-7 years’ experience in mental health and short-term, solution-focused counselling
- Trauma intervention services experience would be an asset
- Experience working in the legal sector
- Knowledge of assessment, crisis management and EFAP services is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, French language skills would be an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Occasional evenings, weekends and on-call coverage
