RBC has made the strategic decision to become a Disruptor in the U.S. Cash Management space. By starting this journey, there is a significant opportunity to evolve and capitalize on a $100 Billion Dollar market segment in the U.S. In support of this vision, RBC aims to offer a frictionless, embedded payment and liquidity experience for its clients.  While RBC has an established Cash Management business in Canada, the U.S. based group will be built from scratch and anchored in a technical/digital play vs. a traditional play, enabling the Bank to compete with new entrants in this space.

What is the opportunity?

The US Cash Management (USCM) Technology team is undertaking a green field project to build a brand-new system to serve corporate clients. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall collection, accuracy, and reporting of USCM Tech initiatives. ​

Identifies and collects data sources, analyzes and extracts key data and information, evaluates and monitors data quality to meet the organization's information system needs and requirements. Applies advanced in-depth and/or broad knowledge, considered a top resource across the organization.


What will you do?

  • Reporting and Shared Knowledge:
    • Manage the USCM Tech reporting calendar
    • Prepare routine internal portfolio reporting for team leadership on initiative status (financials, risks, benefits)
    • Coordinate portfolio reporting to senior executives (incl. T&O, Group Heads, Board of Directors, etc.)
    • Administer and maintain tools environment for enterprise reporting on behalf of USCM Tech team
    • Ensure consistent reporting processes, approach and tools are in place (factoring in regional differences)
    • Update tools and sites to support shared knowledge and ensure adherence and use of standardized tools and process
  • Data Analytics
    • Subject Matter Expert on gathering development of reporting tools, quality control and measurement of data.
    • Responsible for bringing leading industry best practices into reporting and analytics design solutions for USCM Tech to the table for senior management to review
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvements
  • Relationship and Communication
    • Provides executives and senior management with timely updates on project issues and manages communications including status reports
    • Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups across USCM using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
    • Interacts with executives and senior management on the full range of matters related to USCM Tech reporting and analytics
  • Operational Risk, Compliance and Audits
    • Ensures operational risk activities are effectively managed and addressed.
    • Proactively monitors and ensures risk management deadlines are met and issues resolved on a timely basis.

Must have:

  • Experience with financial operations
  • 7+ years of project management experience with at least 3-5 years’ experience with large projects portfolios
  • Demonstrated data analytic & reporting experience
    • Experience using Tableau, SharePoint, Microsoft Office suite, JIRA and Confluenence
  • Strong client-focus and responsiveness to business needs
    • Experience in dashboard development
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills including executive interaction

Nice to have:

  • PMP Certified or equivalent
  • Basic financial accounting knowledge
  • Exposure to financial services and/or financial products.
