Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Excited about cloud technologies? Looking to make a difference helping one of the biggest enterprises in Canada migrate to the cloud? We need you!


In this role, as a member of AWS Platform Engineering team, you'll be developing a cutting-edge cloud development platform to enable customers to evolve their business at scale.
You'll provide the best user experience in building and managing cloud-ready application through Infrastructure-as-Code and Kubernetes.
You'll design and implement a secure platform for provisioning cloud infrastructure.
 Additionally, you'll interact with a team of passionate cloud engineers who thrive on solving challenging technical problems and creating great products.

What will you do?

  • Develop solutions for a cutting-edge cloud-native deployment ecosystem.
  • Develop solutions to help transform the bank and replace manual processes through automation.
  • Design and build infrastructure to enable cloud applications.
  • Be a technical advisor and provide guidance to resolve challenges for customers.
  • Create educational material to provide best practices, user guides, and sample code.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Infrastructure-as-Code development experience preferably with Terraform, Cloud Formation on AWS.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Application development experience in any languages – Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, etc. (Python and Go preferred).
  • Solid understanding of designing and building testable products.
  • Providing a first-class User Experience from the start.
  • Enterprise security mindset building safe and secure products.
  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts and processes such as continuous integration/deployment.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with other public/private cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, VMWare etc.
  • Experience with Go for Kubernetes Operator and Terraform provider development.
  • A public GitHub account that shows recent development activity and demonstrates a passion for development and technology.
  • Experience developing software
