Job Summary:

Third-party technology is critical to the operational delivery of HOOPP’s pension promise.  Ensuring that these technology services are successfully delivered requires expert management.  This role will be responsible for leading this management capability by enabling HOOPP’s IT leaders to get the most out of their IT services.

What you will do:

  • The Vendor Manager role will manage critical vendor relations to ensure third-party services are aligned with HOOPP’s strategic business goals. He/She is expected to understand, maintain and manage all third-party contracted obligations by ensuring SLAs are met and any issues identified are escalated to mitigate risk.

  • Manage critical vendor relationships and foster lasting partnerships on behalf of IT.

  • Facilitate/ Coordinate vendor operations review, quarterly business reviews and executive touch points on established cadence or as per contract obligations.

  • Track vendor meeting actions to ensure all deliverables are completed in a timely manner.

  • Lead high-value procurement engagements with critical technology partners

  • Collaborate with the IT Vendor Risk Management team to further develop best in-class vendor management operations for the organization

  • Lead IT stakeholders to ensure service value, compliance and continuous improvement of critical vendor services.

  • Analyzing vendor options, contracts and licenses to recommend maximum value for HOOPP

What you bring: ​

  • 5+ years of experience in IT vendor management or technology licensing for a financial institution or technology firm

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experienced liaising with different lines of business and IT (at all levels, including executives)

  • Highly skilled in relationship management, written and verbal communication

  • Knowledgeable on key enterprise technology services (i.e. Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, SAP, CISCO)

  • Strong understanding of current technology landscape.  Including cloud, software and key industry trends and standards

  • Knowledgeable in common IT product licensing and compliance management
