Job Summary

 

 

Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Guidewire Architect to design Guidewire software applications solutions for all or part of an assigned project(s) working with vendors and the enterprise architecture community. Specifically, this position identifies functional/non-functional requirements, configures, tests, debugs, and documents application systems to achieve the objectives of the client group relative to identified system needs. This position works on complex projects and leverages knowledge of applications development methodologies, hardware characteristics, and other technologies providing expert advice to produce comprehensive solutions, within the agreed quality, service commitment levels, schedules and budgets.

What you will do:

 

 

You will work on complex projects and leverage knowledge of Guidewire technologies to provide expert advice and produce comprehensive, robust, scalable solutions.


You will work with other Solution and Enterprise Architects to align on architecture vision.


You will partner with Business System Analysts, Product Owners and other stakeholders to translate the functional and non-functional requirements into reusable architecture building blocks.


You will document the required architecture artifacts, present architecture solutions in Architecture Review workshops.

 

In order to succeed in this position, you need to have:

 

 

Good understanding of P&C Insurance in Canada.


Deep technical understanding of the Guidewire Insurance Suite and Guidewire Cloud roadmap.


3+ years' experience in configuration and integration development using GOSU in a Guidewire Insurance Suite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, Contact Manager).


2+ years in a Guidewire Architect role, with hands-on experience on Engage, Node.js, React and Jutro development framework.
Guidewire Cloud certification, preferable on Elysian.


Strong Guidewire APIs development skills.


Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management, Guidewire security best practices and DevSecOps.


Additional Azure or AWS cloud experience or certification is a plus.

Job Qualifications

 

Required:

 


Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

AND
Guidewire Experience


Preferred:

 


Experience developing solutions in the insurance industry


Experience providing solution architecture oversight with third parties


Experience in specific Guidewire product


Guidewire certification
