The Role
The Bell Mobility – National Wireless RAN Performance team is seeking a motivated individual, with proven experience in Network Performance, reporting and analytical skills. The successful candidate will report to the Sr Manager – National Wireless Network Performance. They will be responsible for the optimization and performance improvement within our 4G and 5G wireless networks nationally by providing timely and insightful reporting and detailed analysis related to perfomance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the RAN Performance in GTA market and support Best Network position.
- Lead strategic initiatives related to wireless customer experience improvement and network optimization for the RAN.
- Collect, analyze large sets of data and improve 4G & 5G networks to improve RF Quality distribution (RSPR and SINR) and KPIs (e.g. VoLTE/LTE/NR Drops and access failures, SA and NSADC Downlink and Uplink throughput, time on 5G, 4G/5G NR handover failures).
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Network issues by providing expertsie support to the Regional teams.
- Developed Monthly, Quarterly, ad-hoc reports with comments and annotations providing the insights into KPI trends and corrective actions
- Monthly/Quartely review of kpis trend deviations and corrective action to add in the plan.
- Make problems visible and bring the right stakeholders to drive the resolutions of issues
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities in our processes.
Required skills / competencies
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in wireless with strong understanding of 5G and LTE end to end with in-depth expertise in Nokia RAN vendor (and Huawei-optional) with a main focus of improving the performance and user experience.
- Ability to query and analyze large sets of data to find value-add insights and oppurtunities for network and customer experience improvement.
- Experience in Geo-Analytics Tools, Actix Analyzer, Layer 3 signaling analysis & troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze internal syslogs, eNB/gNB logs for quick troubleshooting and issue resolution for lab or field activities.
- Expertise with UE and eNB/gNB signaling log analysis (UU, X2, S1 signaling).
- Efficiently used Nokia tools (Neatact, Megaplexer, Traffica) to monitor RF performance.
- Proven ability in quantitative analysis, data manipulation and data visualization techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
