Summary
The Wireline Channel Forecasting team is accountable for channel sales forecast, planning and performance analysis for the consumer wireline segment. Working with partners in operations, sales, and marketing, the Sales Planning and Reporting Specialist is accountable for maintaining accurate forecast models to set sales targets for wireline channels.
The successful candidate is a team player with ability to engage and influence stakeholders in decision making and have prior experience in forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage sales drivers and analytics to develop insights, reports, trends and scorecards
- Prepare and present forecasts and analysis to senior leadership team
- Work with cross functional teams to negotiate and communicate targets
- Manage month end estimates and explain delta to targets
- Track pricing updates and manage channel discretionary budgets to facilitate sales
- Provide input to strategic planning, business planning and budgeting exercise
- Reporting and other ad hoc analyses on sales related results
- Continuously looking for opportunity to improve forecasting model
Critical Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in forecasting, planning or data analytics roles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to details
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power BI; Ability to extract data with SQL
- Ability to synthesize data to tell a story that enables informed decision making
- Excellent personal skills and the ability to discuss ideas
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Experience in a large organization and the ability to work with cross functional stakeholders
- Self-starter, with the ability to manage and drive projects with limited supervision and to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree with a Mathematics, Business, Economics, Marketing, Statistics and/or related discipline
- SAS, PowerPivot, Python
- Experience in Telecommunications or Sales assisting roles would be considered an asset
