The team you'll be part of
Network Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
NSP unifies service automation with network optimization and extends carrier SDN concepts to multi-vendor IP/optical networks allowing network operators to deliver on-demand network services faster, profitably, and with high scalability. In this team, you will have exposure to network virtualization, optimization, and cutting-edge industry innovation. Our products are built using various technologies, including:
- Java, JavaScript, JBoss, J2EE, JMS.
- Web Technologies (HTML5, CSS3, REST/JSON, SOAP/XML).
- Web application frameworks
- Linux/RHEL/ Solaris x86/Windows/VM.
You will be challenged with continuous learning as our Products change to meet the demands of our customers. Your focus will be on finding and resolving product defects in our automation-based test environment.
Education Recommendations
Currently a candidate for Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc. or related field with an accredited school in Canada.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
- Design automated tests in a programmable environment, using Javascript, to test product functionality and customer use cases.
- Work closely with Developers and Product Management to jointly deliver high quality products and solutions.
- Work with new products and technologies which will be managed by our management portfolio, including advancements to Service Routing, LTE and Optical technologies
What is Nokia looking for from me
You have:
- Pursuing degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience with software design and concepts, exposure to various programming languages like Javascript and python
- Ability to produce high quality test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment
