The Team

 

As a Software Developer, you will work on RESL (Real Estate Secured Lending) business applications by implementing new features and enhancing the existing codebase. This role is primarily hands-on and focused on writing clean, testable code.

 

Is this role right for you?

 

  • Implement and/or debug code for assigned Jira stories and tasks
  • Develop backend functionality using Java and Spring Boot (and/or Java EE where applicable)
  • Build and maintain server-rendered UIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Thymeleaf, and Bootstrap
  • Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests for delivered functionality
  • Follow clean code practices and established team standards
  • Participate in code reviews and address feedback constructively
  • Fix defects and support production issues
  • Use AI-assisted development tools in line with bank policies and secure coding standards

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

 

  • Able to work effectively on assigned tasks
  • Comfortable navigating an existing codebase and making changes
  • Understands the importance of testing, security, and code quality
  • Willingness to learn banking domain concepts and internal processes
  • Communicates status, risks, and blockers clearly within the team

 

Must have skills 

  • Java
  • Spring Boot
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Server-side rendering (Thymeleaf or other technologies)
  • Bootstrap
  • REST, SOAP
  • Relational databases (DB2, PostgreSQL)

 

Nice to Have

  • Java EE, Google Cloud Platform, Dynatrace, Splunk, OWASP, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Redis
