We are seeking a skilled back-end developer to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front and backend components for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to understand requirements, create innovative solutions, and ensure high-quality, scalable software delivery.
• Work closely with designers and product owners to bring wireframes to life and enhance user experiences.
• Conduct code reviews, participate in design discussions, and troubleshot complex software issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Development experience with Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases (DB2 and Couchbase) for backend infrastructure to extract data for insights.
• Experience with web development, APIs, web services, and agile development.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with two or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, and Java.
• Knowledge of Angular, React or JavaScript. - Kotlin Development.
• Understanding of REST API concepts.
• Familiarity with the Springboot framework.
• Knowledge of OpenSearch / ElasticSearch.
• Understanding of Message Queue / Kafka.
• Concepts of Continuous Development & Continuous Integration.
• Experience in web interface performance tuning.
• Understanding of Agile Development.

Sustainability Software business unit. Your main responsibility will be to develop
responsive, high-quality applications for our retail customers using the latest web
development technologies and frameworks.
