Cloud and Network Services

The team you will be a part of
You will work with a strong product development team on an agent-based endpoint detection and response system. You will contribute to working software for a new security product targeting core networks.
Position: COOP Student Software Developer for Endpoint Detection and Response
Duration: 4 months
Date: Jan 8, 2024 - April 26, 2024
Location: Flexible (Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada or Virtual in Canada)
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of the team, you will:
- Create rules, configurations, and testing procedures for a newly introduced endpoint detection and response system for core networks
- Develop software and new processes in a small, close-knit team aiming to provide efficient network security solutions
- Provide solutions to problems in managing the system in customer networks
Your skills and experience
Education Requirements
Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer, Software) or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
You have :
- Solid software development experience in Java or other OO languages
- Experience using Linux and Windows; exposure to network security
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with malware systems and intrusion detection programs.
- Exposure to the ELK stack
