If you are driven and motivated to become a part of a dynamic tea, our Surrey Master Rebuild Centre (MRC) has an opening for a **Service Supervisor** . Reporting to the SMRC Shop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of engine and component repair/rebuild work, including safety, quality and compliance requirements.
**Additional responsibilities are described below:**
+ Support and lead all Cummins and customer safety initiatives, including Job Safety Analysis Audits and equipment inspections
+ Ensure that the MRC is performing in accordance with corporate objectives, initiatives, policies, and procedures including disciplinary actions, if required
+ Participate in MRC continuous improvement programs including optimizing/improving work flow, labor and machine utilization, inefficiencies identification and documentation, and best practice development
+ Develop, prioritize, and assign daily work schedules and provide instructions to 10-12 technicians
+ Follow and implement our Quality Management System processes by verifying that the work is performed according to customer and Cummins requirements and by visually inspecting all completed work
+ Plan and organize cross training for all work stations. Schedule and track Technician training
+ Define the scope of work and categorize work content as repair, overhaul and/or warranty
+ Communicate and work collaboratively with support staff
+ Other duties, as assigned
+ Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without sponsorship
+ 3 years of leadership/management experience in an engine repair or heavy industry manufacturing environment is a requirement, in a unionized environment is an asset
+ Prior experience leading/managing in a ISO9001 production environment is considered an asset
+ Journeyman qualification in a diesel engine related field would be an asset
+ Exceptional customer service focus
+ Leadership and mentoring skills are required to ensure standardized work instructions and processes are followed in disassembly, rebuild and reassembly procedures
+ Must be highly organized with strong communication and decision making and team building skills
+ Strong computer knowledge with the ability to learn all Cummins software systems and processes
