The SVP Programs and Organization performance has ownership for global business intelligence, enterprise architecture, corporate business partners, project office as well as organizational performance teams. These capabilities have a global scope and will require the executive and their team to work with business and technology teams across the world.
In collaboration with the CIO and WSP leadership, the SVP Programs and organisational performance participates in and contributes to the transformation of the technology function from a collection of regional IT teams to an enterprise IT function. The role will facilitate the translation of business strategy as well as technology vision to value focused transformation programs and capabilities.

A day in the life:
- In support of the WSP mission determines the operating model for information and technology to foster business-oriented and digital-ready culture, mindsets, and practices.
- Contributes actively to enterprise strategy and business capability strategic planning.
- Establishes active relationships with executives and business unit leaders, and members of their teams. Acts as a trusted advisor to ensure all executive leaders to make confident decisions about the application of information and technology within their units and across the enterprise.
- Leads the program office rigour and disciple for all IT projects including M&A related activities
- Leads the business intelligence function globally, incorporating both business and technology talent and helps leverage data and knowledge to enable WSP’s strategic objectives
- Leads the enterprise architecture discipline in partners with business and IT stakeholders. Ensuring there is a clear (yet dynamic) target state and align the relevant roadmaps to ensure convergence, simplification and coherence of the platforms and processes at WSP
- Maintains currency on new technologies and platforms in alignment with WSP Enterprise Standards and policies. Provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the enterprise to ensure IT capabilities, data leadership as well as business processes respond to the needs of WSP’s digital business strategy.
- Oversees the overall technology organizational performance including talent, service, budget and investment metrics. Works with the CIO and other business leaders to ensure the measurement and tracking of operations and projects that contribute to WSP’s overall business performance
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 15 years or more of experience in either business areas or within IT.
- 5-7 years of leadership responsibilities.
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in a global organization with an enterprise technology and business process function. Experience with global business intelligence capabilities, enterprise architecture and global PMO
- Preferably experience in the Engineering and Construction professional services industry, leading cross-functional teams, or enterprise-wide programs, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization
- Demonstrated experience in strategy and strategic planning, organization design and development.
- Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading large, complex and or transformational initiatives in dynamic environments and taking advantage of digital opportunities to innovate business models and enable the digitalization of the business.
