The Team
Non-Retail Risk Systems provides the project, change, & development management and services of non-retail enterprise risk systems to support the Global Risk Management (GRM) business lines.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Development, the Sr. Technical Business Analyst will be involved in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including feasibility studies, research, analysis, elicit, define, assess and document detailed business and system design requirements (functional, operational, transitional, information & non-functional) for new systems & systems enhancements and identify any gaps within current capability. Some of the Key Accountabilities include:
- Elicit, define, assess and document detailed business and system design requirements (functional, operational, transitional, information & non-functional) for new systems & systems enhancements and identify any gaps within current capability.
- Identify complex process and systems solutions to address major system needs.
- Performs analysis and evaluation of options, alternatives, and system capabilities.
- Provide strong subject matter expertise across multiple functional areas and across functional process flows or functional and cross functional teams.
- Understand complex system integrations including source and target systems and how they relate to each other and perform data analysis.
- Assist with managing projects and coordinate work with Stakeholders and Project Teams and provide post rollout support for system enhancements.
- Coordinate timing for development and testing if the change involves multi-systems to meet deployment date, provide support for developers and testers during the sprints and preparing release notes
- Participating and supporting the Intake process
- Perform CDE analysis, create reports and communicate to business partners
- Ability to handle multiple projects and activities in a timely, organized manner.
- Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, action plans and audit reports.
What You Will Bring to Succeed
- Proficiency in Business Analysis procedures and requirements, as well as technical analysis and design requirements.
- Highly experienced in writing business requirements for system development.
- Experience in data analysis and data modeling (Conceptual and/or Logical and/or Physical) and the ability to grasp a customized repository (as defined by a relational or dimensional database) approach.
- Knowledge of enterprise applications and enterprise analysis.
- Strong SQL knowledge and skilled and experienced in working with relational database structures MS SQL Server.
- Experience working in a project environment and SDLC methodologies.
- Knowledge of Credit and Risk applications preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Creative problem solver, flexible, proactive and able to work in a fast paced, ever- changing environment.
Nice to have skills:
- 4-7 years of demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements elicitation, translation and documentation in insurance, financial services or technology, with demonstrated data analysis abilities.
- Experience working with big data platforms (Hadoop, etc.)
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Financial and Credit Risk / Loss experience
