What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a Senior Middleware Technical Analyst to join our team and provide technical expertise and support for our middleware platforms, including JWS, JBoss EAP and Weblogic. You will be responsible for installation, patching, maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tuning of these platforms on Windows and Linux environments. You will also collaborate with other teams to ensure the availability, reliability and security of our applications and data. This role is to support West Coast clients and based in Pacific Timezone.
What will you do?
Install, configure, patch and upgrade middleware platforms (JWS, JBoss EAP and Weblogic) on Windows and Linux servers
Monitor and troubleshoot middleware issues using various tools and methods
Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions for complex problems
Implement backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures for middleware platforms
Ensure compliance with security standards and policies for middleware platforms
Provide technical guidance and best practices for middleware development and deployment
Document middleware processes, procedures and configurations
Migrate applications to other middleware technologies and operating system platforms
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in middleware support or administration
Strong knowledge of JWS, JBoss EAP and Weblogic features, functions and architecture
Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems administration
Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python
Familiarity with web servers such as Apache HTTP Server or IIS
Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, FTP/S etc.
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), problem-solving skills & analytical skills
