SENIOR SECURITY ANALYST
Location: Saint John, Fredericton, or Moncton New Brunswick, Halifax Nova Scotia
We are looking for a Senior Security Specialist to join our IT Security Team in New Brunswick. This is a dynamic role in a security conscious organization that uses a wide variety of technologies. Utilizing a deep understanding of security technologies, best practices and industry standards will drive your success. This critical position will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of JDI’s IT environment. You will be empowered to jump right in, take ownership, and apply critical thinking that pushes the status quo. As a senior contributor your influence will be felt within the team as a mentor and coach, and also across the business with leaders of all levels. Your Focus:
- Thought leadership in how to protect an organization in a time of growing IT Security threats
- Investigation and resolution of complex and unusual problems
- Lead the implementation of processes relating to threat hunting and purple team exercises
- Own and maintain the risk assessment process for new software or services proposed for the organization
- Provide security guidance in all aspects of information technology including day to day IT operations, application development and process control systemsincident response and technology optimization
- Liaise with subject matter experts, development teams, implementation support and production support staff to refine technical specifications, system scope and objectives
- Actively coach team members in a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous learning
- Engage and interact with senior management and executives regularly for input, feedback and reporting
You Have:
- University Degree, College Diploma or Relevant Experience
- CISSP or similar certification
- 10+ years’ experience in complex IT environments
- 5+ years’ experience in network security, incident response, email threat protection and data loss prevention performing penetration testing and security incident management
- Demonstrated understanding of implementing risk management practicesProven ability to lead technical projects from conception to implementation
- Utilization of penetration testing tools and techniques or Red Team exercisesStrong cloud security knowledge
- Design and implementation of vulnerability management programsStrong scripting and query language abilities
- Interest in identifying and implementing automation opportunities
- Implementation and management of security incident and event management programs
- Design and implementation of security analyticsExperience in building security analytics to guide work prioritization
- Knowledge of Process Control Systems concepts and technology
